Picturing Hope
JCC Chicago Seeking Teens for a Unique Photography Project
JCC Chicago's Growing Hope initiative is seeking 12 teens (ages 12-18) interested in photography and creative expression to participate in a six-week program that uses photography as a means of self-expression, inclusion, and hope. No prior experience with photography required.
This program, Picturing Hope, is a collaborative project for teens between JCC Chicago and the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. The cohort of 24 teens will meet for six consecutive Sundays (specific dates below), where they will participate in photography workshops, team-building activities, and more. The program will take place at various museums and cultural spaces across the city, giving participants access to some of the city's great arts spaces.
Picturing Hope has been generously funded by the VIVO Foundation, and there is no cost to participants. All materials, admissions, travel, and swag have been covered by this youth empowerment grant.
